One Time Service MLS mapping is a one time service. It does not require a subscription. A mapping may be used for all activations that you may have. On the network version, a single mapping is available to all users. The one time fee serves to minimally cover our time in setting up the formulas that transform and transfer MLS data to the forms. Usually, we will spend two to three hours per map. You will save that time per BPO.
The Mapping Process The mapping process begins with a 30 minute emeeting with you to go over your MLS with you to create an export definition that contains the field information that is appropriate for the form involved. We then query you as to your preferences in filling out the form. After our emeeting, we create the formulas that will transform and transfer the field data from the MLS to the form.
Example Needed Transformations: Many times an MLS stores data differently from how a form might want it. For example, an MLS may store full baths and half baths as two separate fields: "2" full baths and "1" half bath. However, the form may want the information as a single decimal number "2.5". An MLS may store the information as codes, "A", "K", "N" which need to be transformed to "Ranch", "Traditional", "Cape Cod", etc. There may be extraneous information, say in a city field: "Bloomfield (Township)" where the '(Township)' is totally unnecessary. The MLS may not have a field say for total rooms. If there is enough information in other fields, we can calculate the total rooms. We have a very powerful language that can transform MLS data to what and how it is needed on the form, and to your preferences. Time saved with accuracy.
